Hi! I really wish I could talk to you face to face during this one way conversation…but unfortunately internet will have to do right now! I LOVE people…they are my passion in life! So obviously I will love you someday when I hopefully will get to meet you!
I have been in photography now “professionally” for 3 years! Seems crazy really…because it flew by so fast! I have learned so much in the past couple years; from first interning at a photography studio here in Chicago to then getting hooked up with an online photography forum and meeting tons of my close friends on there(scary I know!) who have trained me in so many ways! I started just shooting flowers and my brothers and sisters and then one fateful day oneof my friends asked me to shoot her wedding! Even scarier is I had to shoot it with a little film camera with only 5 rolls of film! But 3 years and close to 50 weddings later has madethat FAR less scary and has turned it into one of my favorite things to do ever!
Since then I’ve had so many amazing opportunities from shooting the Fox Emmy Awards party to being featured in Brides magazine and having my work on the cover of the band Barlowgirl’s album and so many more amazing things that photography has opened the door to! It’s an incredible ride! I have always known I was supposed to be a teacher in some way…but DEFINITELY never wanted to be a school teacher (way too hard!) so after I learned some things in photography I immediately wanted to share the love! I had interns even in my first year! Since then I’ve learned and trained under several amazing photographers who have taught me to come upto an even higher level!
Last year I started the “official” intern program and trained up 7 interns whoare absolutely incredible photographers! I am so proud of them and from them really saw how much I LOVED training people in their passion: Photography! I’m so excited to get to know you!!
